The biggest wedding ceremony of the year has taken place: Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have officially tied the knot.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the pop star exchanged vows in a Friday ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City. They celebrated in front of family members and a slew of A-list friends while marking another milestone in their very high-profile relationship.
The home of the New York Knicks actually ended up delivring the first public confirmation that the “Love Story” singer and Chiefs player tied the knot. As Getty Images photographs show, those outside the iconic NYC venue saw a message on its outside screens that read “JUST&T Married” around 7:30 p.m. ET.

The “T&T” (Travis and Taylor) romance began in 2023. Kelce first attended a concert at Arrowhead Stadium. He tried — and failed — to give her his phone number and a customized bracelet.
Swift then attended a Chiefs game in September 2023. She spent time in a private suite with Kelce’s mother, Donna, and immediately sparked rumors of a budding romance.
The pop star continued to attend games while the NFL cameras continued to fill game feeds with footage of her celebrating big plays. However, she and Kelce did not make their romance official, despite being spotted in October 2023 holding hands after an appearance on Saturday Night Live.Â
Swift finally confirmed the relationship in December 2023 as part of a sit-down interview. She said it began with Kelce’s comments on his podcast about failing to meet her.
The relationship only became more public after the two made it official. Kelce then decided to propose in August 2025. He and Swift announced the news with a joint post on Instagram showing them in a floral-filled garden.
Rumors of this wedding had persisted for a significant amount of time. Many expected the two celebrities to tie the knot in a Rhode Island ceremony. However, multiple figures of authority in the state appeared to shut down these reports.
The police in the Ocean State told TMZ in early June that they had no knowledge of major wedding plans, either at Ocean House resort or Swift’s beachfront estate.
Ultimately, the reported ceremony in Rhode Island did not happen. The couple exchanged vows at Madison Garden as many expected.
